Job description

As the Sales Floor Assistant, you are responsible for driving customer service to achieve profitable sales growth by leading and engaging associates, managing merchandise standards and execution, training and developing staff, and implementing sales-building programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service & Sales: Model and hold the team accountable for delivering outstanding customer service. Actively listen to customer issues to resolve problems. Demonstrate WORTH behaviors consistently. Collaborate with team members when additional support is needed.
2. Door to Floor / Restock / RFID & Inventory: Work with the Merchandise Supervisor to plan merchandise placement. Assist with inventory processes such as cycle counts, system uploads, stock ledger, RFID scans, and restocking, including mismates and stockroom organization. Support the restock program to identify replenishment opportunities.
3. SET / Visual / Environment: Assist with floor moves, graphics placement, and visual detailing based on company guidance. Identify sell-through opportunities and remerchandise the floor to boost sales. Oversee store recovery processes to maintain a clean environment. Contribute to visual merchandising efforts and stockroom maintenance.
4. Omnichannel (SVG 2-3): Support jcp.com order processing, including managing aged and undelivered orders and returns. Assist with Buy Online Pick Up In Store and Ship from Store processes as needed.
5. General Operations: Participate in merchandise transfer out, return to vendor, and return to warehouse activities. Support the Defective MTO process to ensure inventory integrity and prevent shrinkage. Participate in annual inventory counts.
6. Performance Standards: Support initiatives to reduce shrinkage and improve safety. Meet performance standards related to sales, customer service, profit, productivity, and attendance.
