Sales Director in Kelowna B. Northern Computer provides Managed IT solutions, Cybersecurity, and IT consulting across Western Canada. Northern Computer is searching for a Sales Director who is a proven sales leader with a track record of putting the customer first. Reporting to the General Manager, the Sales Director is accountable for leading the sales team and implementing the sales strategy to achieve revenue goals. This individual will nurture and grow existing customer relationships, identify new sales opportunities, and understand what it takes to be successful within a complex sales cycle with multiple stakeholders.

The Sales Director will have a proven track record working within an MSP, selling IT and cybersecurity services to businesses and organizations. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Working with GM and the team to execute tactics and processes required to deliver on the sales strategy.
  2. Fostering a sales culture that values transparency, accountability, and excellence, continually searching for new opportunities.
  3. Building relationships with key customers, making customer-centric decisions ensuring customer service and satisfaction drive every decision.
  4. Utilizing above-average interpersonal skills, building consensus between sales and service teams, encouraging collaboration to determine the best course of action for the customer.
  5. Maintaining consistent interaction with the team, evaluating ongoing employee performance, and coordinating annual review and appraisal programs.
  6. Providing coaching and training to employees when needed, understanding people below the surface.
  7. Setting expectations for the sales team and gaining buy-in for continually improving systems and processes, demonstrating the ability to get things done in order of priority.
  8. Re-establishing quarterly business reviews with customers, aligning senior management around the initiatives.

Qualifications include:

  1. 7+ years of hands-on experience proactively growing sales, building relationships with small and medium businesses, professional services, local government, or not-for-profit organizations. Experience working within an MSP is preferred.
  2. Proven sales ability with strong technical skills; experience with IT tech stacks is an asset.
  3. A passionate sales leader who is a team player and able to establish a value proposition and convey excitement about the company brand.
  4. Experience building key relationships into trusted client partnerships, strategically growing sales teams and pipelines.
  5. A hands-on doer with a proven track record working within complex sales cycles, knowing how to finesse multiple stakeholders to engage and purchase.
  6. Naturally curious, able to see outside the box, identify gaps in the market, and initiate potential new opportunities.
  7. Experience achieving quarterly sales targets, forecasting, reporting, KPIs, and making decisions based on metrics.
  8. Experience utilizing a CRM within an ERP and advanced Excel skills.
