RMUS is the leading Remotely Operated and Autonomous Robotics provider in North America. We provide cutting edge equipment,industry leading training programs (online and in person), and professional and technical support services. We have offices in Mississauga (ON), Ottawa (ON), Montreal (QC), and Calgary (AB). Our Partners come from all over – US, Europe, Australia, China, and Vietnam. We service 3 core verticals, Public Safety, Industrial and Military. We are specialists in developing enterprise / agency wide robotics programs which provide enhanced situational awareness and inspection capability resulting in better decision making. Our solutions are used daily by industrial, commercial, government (all levels) and educational entities across Canada, the USA and are generating interest internationally.

The Role

This is an Old School sales exec role. RMUS Canada already has a solid customer base but we are looking to expand in a few key verticals with a focus for this role in Calgary / Edmonton, Vancouver and Montreal. This role will handle our incoming leads for Industrial , and actively develop connections with new customers in Energy, Construction and Mining. There will be some existing accounts to manage but Hunting is a big part of it. This is NOT a sit in the office and wait for phone calls type of position. You will require creativity and persistence to get in the right doors.

You will know how to utilize new school tools like LinkedIn to find and get in front of customers and you will also be proficient at utilizing old school tools like the phone to actually talk to customers and get in front of them. You’ll need to enjoy the technology and use cases without necessarily being an expert. You should be comfortable engaging technical resources from inside the organization, and coordinating outside resources from our supplier partners to make a beautiful sales symphony.

We’ll ensure that you are well trained and ready to develop the business when you get in front of the customers.

Compensation

We offer a competitive package including Base salary, commission (uncapped) and bonus to start. After your probationary period you will be granted a premium benefits package including medical, dental, life, disability and an RRSP match program.

Year 1 OTE $120k, Year 2 $135k, Year 3 $150k

3 Roles Open 2 will be based at our Calgary Office, and 1 at our Montreal office with some travel based on opportunities.

The successful candidate will :

  • Have proven face to face sales communication expertise with Industrial B2B accounts.
  • Proven ability to have high level ROI and business case discussions with sr. level decision makers at large organizations.
  • Be an effective business developer. If you are not willing to grind it out on a daily basis on the phone and email looking for new opportunities you will not be successful.
  • Be ambitious and willing to grow. You love to sell and want to be in front of customers, but you also love to learn.
  • Be an excellent presenter in person and remotely via Zoom / Teams / Google etc.
  • Have a minimum 4 years of Sales experience (quota carrying) or have run your own small business.
  • Be persistent and resilient and have the ability to thrive with multiple hats.
  • Be extremely goal driven and love to win.
  • For Quebec must be fluently bilingual.
  • Nice to Have’s but not deal breakers

  • Advanced RPAS Certification
  • Experience in GIS or survey equipment sales or use
  • Previous Experience in Robotics
  • Understanding of inspection tools : Gas detection, FLIR, Fluke, Lidar, Laser Scanning, etc.
  • Second language
  • Interest in technology and robots
