THE POSITION

The Sales Executive at SMG is a motivated individual who thrives on prospecting and closing business. You should be extroverted, have a ‘go-getter’ mentality, and be skilled at engaging with people. You will cultivate sales for various new products and work from SMG’s head office in Winnipeg, Canada.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Develop opportunities for new business across various industry segments depending on product application
  • Manage all sales activities including email, calls, web meetings, and in-person meetings
  • Overcome technical and business objections from prospective customers
  • Aim to open and grow new accounts aggressively
  • Plan your schedule to include call time, presentation time, and travel to meet sales goals
  • Build and maintain customer relationships by delivering an exceptional customer experience
  • Become a subject matter expert on our products
  • Track sales progress using web-based applications and prepare reports
  • Update the company CRM daily
  • Perform other sales-related activities as required

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree or certificate in Sales, Business Administration, or a relevant field
  • Proven experience in sales or business development
  • Confident personality with effective communication skills in various customer engagement situations
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills
  • Strong time management and priority setting skills
  • Proficient with CRM software and Microsoft Office programs
  • Customer-focused attitude with excellent negotiation skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Availability to travel as needed to Canada, US, and Europe
