Senior Sales Engineer Mechanical / HVAC-R - Greater Vancouver, BC

Lock Search Group has partnered with a national leader and manufacturer within the HVAC segment to find an experienced Senior Sales Engineer to join their BC team. This strategic consultative sales role is ideal for an existing Sales Engineer seeking a positive change in a collaborative environment, an Outside Sales Representative from distribution aiming for growth, or a Consultant from an engineering firm with a mechanical engineering background and HVAC experience.

The Senior Sales Engineer will serve the engineering community by understanding, designing, and detailing HVAC components, systems, and solutions. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining relationships with industry stakeholders (engineers, architects, contractors, developers, owners) to grow sales and expand market share in line with company goals.

Key duties include maintaining a strong presence in the engineering community, understanding client needs to provide suitable technical solutions, staying updated on industry codes, regulations, and market trends, and attending manufacturer training and product launches. The role may involve some travel.

Requirements:

  1. University degree or college diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in Mechanical Engineering with extensive HVAC knowledge.
  3. Proficiency in reading architectural and mechanical drawings.
  4. Comfortable with MS Office applications.
  5. Self-motivated, creative, resourceful, and skilled in relationship building within the industry.
