About Versos

Versos turns massive, unstructured video libraries into AI‑ready, rights‑cleared training datasets. Studios ship us petabytes of content; we segment, embed, and surface every clip in a searchable marketplace. Demand from both studios and AI labs is surging, and we need a hands‑on technical lead to own the onboarding pipeline.

The Role

You’ll ride shotgun with our Sales & Demand‑Gen team on studio calls, scope each customer’s archive, and then run the end‑to‑end ingest operation:

Pre‑sales discovery

  • Join intro calls to map what content exists, its locations (LTO, NAS, S3, etc.) and formats.
  • Translate business needs into a concrete ingest plan and timelines.

Content acquisition & logistics

  • Arrange S3 transfers, VPN access, or physical drive shipments.
  • Draft “copy specs” so a studio’s tech team knows exactly how to package files and metadata.
  • Track shipments and transfers; escalate any delays.

Cloud ingest & DevOps

  • Spin up upload pipelines to our S3 buckets; monitor throughput and integrity.
  • Trigger our video‑processing jobs (FFmpeg, transcription, segmentation, embedding) and verify outputs.
  • Debug failures, re‑queue jobs, and keep the studio informed.

Marketplace onboarding

  • Create studio profiles and collections in the Versos marketplace.
  • Validate that clips, metadata, and other data appears correctly.
  • Notify the studio when their catalog is live.

Process automation

  • Identify repetitive steps and script or terraform them (e.g., one‑click bucket setup, automated checksum reports).
  • Feed backlog items to engineering when larger platform changes are needed.

What You’ll Bring

Must Have

  • 2‑5yrs in sales engineering, solutions architecture, or DevOps with customer‑facing duties
  • Solid AWS (esp. S3, IAM, basic Lambda/ECS) - or comparable - experience
  • Comfort leading technical discovery calls and translating requirements into tasks
  • Strong project‑management & task‑tracking discipline
  • Clear written + video‑call communication with both engineers & non‑technical studio staff

Nice to have

  • Experience with video tooling (FFmpeg, AWS MediaConvert, Elemental)
  • Familiarity with LTO/Libraries, Aspera, Signiant, or other media transfer tools
  • Ability to write small Python or Bash scripts to automate checksums, manifest builds
  • Prior work with AI/ML data pipelines or vector databases
  • Knowledge of FAST / VOD workflows or entertainment rights metadata
