We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Director to lead the Canadian sales efforts for a global provider of balanced residential ventilation solutions. This role will involve developing and executing the overall sales strategy for the Canadian market while managing and motivating a high-performing sales team. You will build strong relationships with clients, distributors, builders, and partners, and drive revenue growth and market expansion in a rapidly evolving industry.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy : Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for Canada, aligned with the company’s overall goals. Standardize sales processes and share best practices across the organization.
Leadership : Lead, coach, and mentor the sales team to achieve targets and promote professional development within the team.
Market Expansion : Identify and pursue new market opportunities and strategic partnerships to expand market share across Canada.
Client Relationships : Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry players, including residential developers, distributors, and HVAC contractors.
Performance Management : Set clear sales targets and KPIs for the team, monitor performance, and ensure goals are consistently met or exceeded.
Collaboration : Work closely with marketing, product management, and customer service teams to ensure sales efforts align with broader company initiatives.
Reporting : Regularly report on sales performance, market trends, and forecasts to senior leadership.
Qualifications
Experience : 12-15 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role at a national level. Experience in HVAC, residential ventilation, or construction-related industries is preferred.
Proven Track Record : Demonstrated success in leading sales teams and driving revenue growth in a B2B environment.
Leadership : Strong leadership and team-building abilities with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and developing talent.
Market Knowledge : Deep understanding of the Canadian residential and construction market, with knowledge of trends in ventilation and energy efficiency.
Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
Education : University degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced qualifications are a plus.
Travel : Willingness to travel significantly within Canada to meet with clients, distributors, and team members.
Competitive base salary of $140,000 – $150,000 , with a performance-based bonus of 20-30%
Company vehicle allowance or reimbursement for travel
