Sales Development Representative (Remote First, GTA Based)

As a Sales Development Representative at commonsku, you are on the front lines of connecting entrepreneurs in the promotional products industry with the platform that will bring the joy back to their work.

You’ll work on:

  • Initiating conversations with prospective customers via cold calling and email sequences
  • Following up on leads from marketing campaigns, converting them to sales opportunities
  • Booking prospects in for discovery calls with Account Executives
  • Conducting outbound prospecting via cold calls, emails, and other channels to generate leads.
  • Qualifying leads based on company-defined criteria before passing them to Account Executives.
  • Researching prospects, identifying decision-makers, and tailoring outreach accordingly.
  • Maintaining detailed records of prospect interactions, outreach activities, and next steps in Hubspot
  • Collaborating with Marketing to optimize lead-generation strategies.
  • Consistently meeting and exceeding targets for calls, meetings booked, and qualified leads.

  • This role is perfect for someone who is looking to building their career in Sales, so we are open to different backgrounds that may or may not include directly similar experience:
    • Previous experience in a Sales Development role
    • Previous experience in a B2B SaaS environment in any customer facing role
    • Previous experience in a Sales or Sales Development role in a SaaS-adjacent industry
  • Heaps of drive to hit goals and retire quota
  • Impeccable organization skills and the ability to stay focused on your tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong ability to quickly build rapport
  • Confidence in handling objections (and rejection)
  • Willingness to be coached and bias for learning and growth
  • Desire to grow your career in tech sales
  • A great sense of humour!

Compensation, Benefits, and Work Environment:

  • We believe in paying fairly and being proactive about ensuring our team is rewarded growth and innovation. We value unique contributions and being a place where people can grow and do the best work of their careers.New team members start at $45,000 to $50,000 CAD base salary, with the initial offer based on experience, with an uncapped variable commission target of $25,000 CAD, annually.
  • We offer benefits coverage for employees, a group RRSP plan with employer contributions, annual office closure between December 25 and January 1, parental leave top-up, and a flexible work environment that supports individuals, families, and people of diverse needs. Oh andsuper cool merch!
  • This role remote first, but only is open to candidates based in the Greater Toronto Area.
