7Gen is growing its go-to-market team to accelerate demand generation and bring more fleet operators into their electrification journey. With market awareness expanding and a proven value proposition, the company is building out its inside sales capability. The SDR will be one of the first in this function, helping set the foundation for future pipeline growth and revenue expansion.

This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who enjoys strategic prospecting, creative outreach, and building the engine that drives a company’s next stage of growth. This role is located in Montreal, QC.

The Role

As an SDR, you’ll focus on top-of-funnel activity : researching potential customers, generating leads, and booking discovery meetings with qualified prospects. You’ll report to the VP of Sales and collaborate closely with Account Executives, crafting targeted outreach campaigns, testing messaging, and engaging new prospects across email, phone, LinkedIn, and events.

You’ll shape how 7Gen finds and engages future customers—especially those early in their electrification journey. You’ll open conversations, qualify interest, and share insights that move both prospects and the broader sales team forward.

You’ll operate at the intersection of research, outreach, and experimentation, adapting messaging across verticals (logistics, delivery, municipal fleets, school buses), tailoring outreach to different buyer personas, and uncovering latent demand through creative, insight-led prospecting.

You’ll own pipeline generation KPIs and consistently book qualified discovery meetings each month, with clear metrics tied to conversion and pipeline health and you’ll contribute to outbound processes, support the buildout of campaign cadences, and help test what works.

Who You Are

  • You’re a clear communicator who writes compelling outreach and connects easily with people
  • You’ve worked in outbound sales, recruiting, fundraising, or a similar role that involved outreach and discovery
  • You’re organized, self-motivated, and driven by small wins that build over time
  • You learn quickly, can grasp technical concepts, and translate them into simple messages
  • You’re energized by early-stage environments and like testing, refining, and building from scratch
  • You bring 1–2 years of experience in outbound sales, recruiting, or lead generation—ideally in a high-velocity B2B environment—or transferable hustle and drive
  • You know how to research prospects and personalize outreach in complex verticals with multi-stakeholder buying processes
  • You’re fluent in modern prospecting tools—HubSpot, Salesforce, Apollo, SalesNav, and other lead generation platforms—and excited to try new ones
  • Where This Role Can Lead

    As 7Gen’s pipeline engine scales, you could grow into an Account Executive role or a more senior business development position. Depending on your strengths and interests, there may also be future opportunities to specialize by sector, region, or function.
