As a Sales Associate, you will have an exciting opportunity to grow your sales career with the industry leader. You will support the business plan through profitable revenue generation. This position can be located anywhere in one of our 1,200+ locations across North America. It involves working in conjunction with local branches and independently. Sales Development Program - What We Do :
  • Sales Performance : Improve time to productivity with automated learning paths and certify on execution and retention
  • Coaching : Provide structured coaching with weekly 1:1 sessions for reps & managers
  • Skills Development : Gain confidence through video role plays, simulated sales scenarios, and field ride-alongs
  • Micro Learning : Distribute bite-sized content with engaging videos, quizzes, and challenges
How We Do it :
  • Analytics : Provide real-time visibility to achievements, measure capabilities, and identify knowledge gaps
  • Gamification : Engage and motivate teams with leaderboards & badges
  • Sales Tools : Access content via internal & customer-facing programs
  • Artificial Intelligence : Use descriptive & predictive intelligence to maximize engagement and proficiency
What You'll Do :
  • Qualify and quantify customer needs using our CRM program, SalesForce.com, and persuasive selling techniques
  • Validate and collect primary decision makers' contact info and customer needs for future campaigns
  • Leverage marketing & sales tools to identify and sell to new customers
  • Recover declining & dormant customers via sales tools and our value proposition
Support & Learn About Branch Operations :
  • Learn to use United Rentals' IT systems for quotes, rentals, sales, reservations, and territory management
  • Coordinate with branch departments to ensure customer satisfaction and communicate field issues
  • Work with ISR's to provide solutions around equipment needs, training, demonstrations, quotations, catalogs, and credit applications
  • Negotiate prices in accordance with policies
  • Drive customer engagement at local events/promotions
  • Perform duties as assigned by management
Requirements :
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • One year sales-related experience preferred
  • Proven planning, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with at least 1 year of experience
  • Strong presentation and sales skills
  • Teamwork and organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable record
  • Willingness to relocate
