As a Sales Associate, you will have an exciting opportunity to grow your sales career with the industry leader. You will support the business plan through profitable revenue generation. Can be located anywhere in one of our 1200+ locations across North America. This position works in conjunction with local branches near you and independently. Sales Development Program - What We Do:

  1. Sales Performance: Improve time to productivity with automated learning paths and certification on execution and retention.

  2. Coaching: Provide a structured coaching environment with weekly 1:1s between reps & managers.

  3. Skills Development: Gain confidence to handle any situation with video role plays, simulated sales scenarios, and field ride-alongs.

  4. Micro Learning: Distribute bite-sized content with engaging videos, quizzes, and challenges.

How We Do It:

  1. Analytics: Provide real-time visibility to achievements, measure capabilities, and identify knowledge gaps.

  2. Gamification: Engage and motivate teams with leaderboards & badges.

  3. Sales Tools: Access content through internal & customer-facing programs.

  4. Artificial Intelligence: Leverage descriptive & predictive intelligence to maximize engagement and proficiency.

What You'll Do:

  • Qualify and assess the needs of existing customers using our CRM, SalesForce.com, and persuasive selling techniques.

  • Validate and collect primary decision-maker contact information and customer needs for future campaigns.

  • Leverage marketing & sales tools to identify and sell to new customers.

  • Recover declining & dormant customers via sales tools and our value proposition.

  • Support and learn about branch operations.

  • Learn to use United Rentals' IT systems for quotes, rentals, sales, reservations, and territory management.

  • Coordinate with branch departments to ensure customer satisfaction and communicate field issues.

  • Work with ISR's to provide solutions around equipment needs, training, demonstrations, quotations, catalogs, and credit applications.

  • Negotiate prices on rentals and sales according to policies.

  • Drive customer engagement at local events/promotions.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • One year of sales-related experience preferred.

  • Proven planning, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with at least 1 year of experience.

  • Strong presentation skills and sales orientation.

  • Strong teamwork and organizational skills.

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable record.

  • Willingness to relocate.
