Overview
Opposite Wall is a creative e-commerce company based in Montreal, specializing in accessible wall art and décor. We’re looking for a Sales & Design Representative who loves great design, has a strong sense of aesthetics, and enjoys building and nurturing professional relationships.
In this role, you’ll drive B2B sales, working with interior designers, architects, retailers, and business clients to provide tailored design solutions while growing revenue and brand visibility.
You’ll thrive by blending creative collaboration with strategic sales outreach to turn ideas into beautiful spaces and business growth.
Primary Responsibilities
- Actively generate new business opportunities through targeted outreach, leveraging cold calls, emails, and inbound inquiries.
- Clearly communicate Opposite Wall’s value proposition, demonstrating an understanding of interior design and architectural aesthetics.
- Collaborate with interior designers, architects, and clients to understand and translate their vision into unique, personalized design solutions.
- Build and maintain meaningful relationships within the design community to foster recurring business and strategic partnerships.
- Manage the entire sales process, from creating tailored quotes and processing orders to ensuring seamless execution and delivery.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Operations and Marketing to ensure cohesive client experiences and optimized project outcomes.
Typical Day
Each day brings something new. A typical outline might include:
- Nurture & Deliver (40 to 50%): Respond to inbound requests, send quotes and invoices, follow up on orders, and coordinate deliveries while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Strategic Outreach (20 to 30%): Outbound outreach to Montreal-based designers, crafting thoughtful messages, scheduling discovery calls, and building long-term partnerships.
- Client Collaboration (10 to 20%): Meetings with architectural firms to understand needs and coordinate tailored design recommendations.
- Creative Exploration (10 to 20%): Curating moodboards or assembling a custom artwork selection to help clients visualize how Opposite Wall can elevate their space.
Ideal Profile
- Passionate about design, interior aesthetics, and creating beautiful spaces.
- Fluent in French and English (spoken and written).
- Strong sales acumen with proven ability to build pipelines, close deals, and maintain ongoing relationships.
- Experience working with interior designers, architects, or design-driven brands is a strong asset.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple client relationships simultaneously.
- Strong communicator, both visually and verbally, with the ability to inspire trust and enthusiasm.
- Entrepreneurial mindset; thrives in a creative, fast-moving environment.
Nice to Have
- 1+ years of sales experience in design, architecture, or related creative industries.
- Experience with interior designers or architectural firms.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, particularly Shopify.
- CRM experience (preferably Pipedrive).
- Comfort in startup environments with evolving roles.
