The Sales Coordinator works closely with and supports the sales process in meeting annual sales goals by assisting the sales team with their customer requirements for products and services prior to creation of the order package.

This role requires regular communication with both internal and external customers regarding order/project product and service requirements; ensuring the orders are in line with company guidelines and maintain integrity and brand image.

The successful candidate will be responsible for Sales Support & Administration, Quotation Management, Order Preparation and Customer Relationship Management.

This is a full-time permanent position, working out of our impeccably designed and furnished office. You’ll mostly work from Monday to Friday, with irregular or extended hours as projects demand. THE DAY TO DAY

The successful applicant will also be responsible for the following:

  1. Attend sales, team, and customer meetings as required
  2. Assist sales with the development of the proposal/RFP and print for sales presentation to customer
  3. Ensure documentation standards are maintained for all account activities; ensures Customer First dealership process and procedures are followed
  4. Work cooperatively with team members to achieve annual sales goals and business objectives
  5. Maintain a high level of service and accuracy within assigned duties
  6. Assist sales and other project team members in pricing, product research, sourcing new products and technical order information i.e. C.O.M. requirements, custom requirements, etc.
  7. Interface with vendors on discount, product specifications, current lead times, reservation of manufacturing for future/project orders, specials/options requirements, C.O.M. requirements, etc.
  8. Assist sales with the preparation of the quotation, reviews the quote and prints it for sales presentation to customer
  9. Provide spec checks for sales representatives on ancillary quotations prior to presentation to client
  10. Communicate with internal and external customers regarding order requirements and provides additional support throughout the front end of the order fulfillment process, as required
  11. Develop ancillary product specifications; produces detailed, accurate and professional looking quotes through own effort or in conjunction with dealership personnel (designers, project managers, etc.) and presents these to the customer in a timely manner
  12. Initiate service quotes for deliveries, small orders and major orders
  13. Under the direction of Sales, applies costs and sell amounts for all products and services, based on contract pricing, gross margin guidelines and established service pricing Respond to customer requests and determines scope of work; defines installation requirements based on customer's request
  14. Arrange loaner product for customer trial
  15. Provide clarifications and answers for customer's questions regarding quotation or order issues
  16. Assist with resolving any acknowledgement discrepancies with vendor
  17. Ensure Customer First standards of performance are met for all customer work activities
  18. Provide professional customer interface and customer relations throughout project

YOU BRING THE FOLLOWING

You are focused on the customer and have an attitude that shows a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. Your experience in project coordination, customer service or a technical administrative role supporting interior design or a sales team has already created a solid foundation for this role. Ideally, you will have worked in a furniture dealership and understand the industry. Being LEED certified or working towards it is considered an asset. Strong administrative and organizational skills are essential to the success of this role.

These are complex sales, where you’ll manage competing priorities, multiple internal and external stakeholders, and varying deliverables. Your experience in a similarly complex sales environment will be crucial for your success here. The number of projects you’ll have on the go at any given time will vary depending on their size and scope.
