Job summary

Sysco Canada in Lakeside, Nova Scotia, is seeking an outside sales professional to promote our products and services, build lasting customer relationships, and achieve sales and profit goals in an assigned territory. This role may require non-traditional hours to meet customer needs and travel 25-50%.

You will prospect, qualify leads, tailor solutions, stay informed on market trends, and support customers from initial contact to post-sale follow-up.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• 2+ years of outside sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and qualify leads based on company account stratification goals.
• Research customer needs and develop tailored product and service solutions.
• Evaluate market trends and recommend relevant products.
• Stay informed about market conditions, product innovations, and competitors.
• Answer customer inquiries about products, pricing, availability, and usage.
• Provide product information and training to customer personnel.
• Drive to customer accounts, conventions, and meetings.
• Manage accounts receivable, working with the credit department.
• Manage deliveries and troubleshoot order issues.
• Participate in company functions, promotions, and customer events.
• Attend sales and district meetings.
• Engage in ongoing training.
• Assist with training new employees.
