Job description

We are presently seeking an upbeat Full Time Flooring Sales Consultant.

The ideal applicant will be highly motivated, hardworking, reliable, and possess an outgoing and friendly attitude while willing to work independently as well as part of a team.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be sales driven and customer focused along with an interest in flooring and design with a great eye for detail. They would possess strong organizational, math and Microsoft Office skills. They are able to approach situations with a friendly and professional demeanor and enjoy working in a challenging, fast paced environment. Home construction, flooring knowledge and interior desing experience is an asset. Minimum of 3 years sales experience required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This individual will be responsible for:

• Assisting customers, asses their flooring needs, guide customer decisions and secure the sale
• Travel within the city for estimates
• Inputting orders/quotes into the computer system and confirms availability of product
• Informing customer of installation and shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer, using email or telephone.
• Establishing proactive communication with customers to ensure understanding of product ordered, installation process, product care and warranty information
• Ensuring orders are priced accurately and invoices are issued promptly
• Ensuring that orders are put into production on time to meet pickup and delivery schedules
• Able to lift up to 60lbs
• Possess a valid Driver’s License and have acces to a vehicle
• Actively seeking opportunities to network and build relationships to promote business relationships

Compensation: Base salary + commission.
