We are seeking a Sales Consultant to join our team in Lethbridge.
The Sales Consultant is responsible for growing the portfolio of National Enterprise clients in the small to mid-sized market space. The role involves achieving sales results, finding & qualifying leads, and bringing new business opportunities to close.
The Sales Consultant will :
- Lead and manage client relationships, including strategic consulting, service delivery, financial management, plan design, pricing strategies, trend analysis, renewal negotiations, and benchmarking.
- Develop and implement strategies to support client satisfaction and retention.
- Maintain positive relations with clients, including key decision-makers and administrators.
- Manage client expectations and address concerns or issues effectively.
- Identify client group insurance risks and recommend appropriate plan designs and cost mitigation strategies.
- Develop annual client plans to ensure value-added service and alignment with client goals.
- Initiate new business development through cold calling, lead generation, and networking.
- Be accountable for revenue and profitability of client accounts and projects.
- Identify growth opportunities within client portfolios through multi-product selling and providing innovative solutions.
- Participate in prospecting and securing new clients via leads, networking, and referrals.
- Manage client growth expectations from the sales team.
- Engage in continuing education to stay updated on employee benefit legislation, administrative issues, plan rules, claim management, and client procedures.
- Participate in industry conferences and seminars to promote services and stay informed on industry trends.
- Represent People Corporation as a brand ambassador in the market.
- Maintain expert knowledge of People Corporation’s products and services.
- Develop positive supplier relations for strong partnerships.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to technical and service teams.
- Build and maintain relationships across the organization.
To be successful as a Sales Consultant with People Corporation, you will need :
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in group benefits, providing strategic and innovative solutions in a client-facing or consulting capacity.
- Valid and current LLQP certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Deep industry expertise, including funding arrangements and flex programs.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, strategic planning, communication, and listening skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and strong team spirit.
- Solution-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and deliver quality work timely.
- Comfort with multi-channel technology.
- Completion of or ability to complete the Life License Qualification Program within 90 days of joining.
- Availability to travel as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle.
- Group Benefits Associate (GBA) or CEBS designation, or current pursuit of these.
All-star candidates will have :
- Completion of formal sales and presentation training.
- Experience with Challenger Sales and/or Consultative Selling methods.
