Overview
We are currently seeking a friendly and experienced Sales Associate/Customer Service Team Leader who is committed to delivering 100% customer satisfaction!
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly as they enter the store and provide fast, efficient service, thanking them for their visit.
- Use an electronic cash register to process sales, handle cash transactions accurately, and issue refunds or exchanges as needed.
- Assist with shift changes by counting cash in the drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Utilize specialized equipment to process transactions such as money orders, credit card purchases, checks, and lottery sales and redemptions.
- Verify identification for restricted sales to ensure compliance.
- Check and restock food service supplies like cups, lids, condiments, napkins, straws, and stirrers.
- Clean and sanitize all equipment and areas using proper procedures, including the three-sink method.
- Maintain cleanliness of all areas, including countertops, microwaves, shelves, floors, windows, cooler doors, food service equipment, restrooms, and parking lots.
- Empty trash containers regularly and keep the store tidy.
- Stock shelves and coolers, rotate stock, and remove damaged or expired merchandise; price items according to the price book.
- Check in vendor deliveries following company guidelines.
- Complete forms for damaged merchandise and manage merchandise orders.
- Utilize current training materials and complete all required training evaluations and documentation.
- Provide feedback on training programs and materials to management.
- Monitor cash levels and security procedures during shifts to ensure safety and compliance.
- Review and complete job assignments as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support store operations.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently.
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to lift 10 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
