Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven salesperson to join their energetic team. They are looking for a Sales Associate to focus on new account development in the wholesale food and beverage sector.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Generate new revenue and meet/exceed sales targets with a hunter sales mentality.
  • Develop and qualify prospective sales leads within the assigned territory through cold-calling and network lead generation.
  • Establish accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential clients.
  • Adjust sales presentations based on the type of sales outlet or trade factors.
  • Focus sales efforts on existing and potential target markets.
  • Submit orders referencing price lists and product literature.
  • Service existing accounts by obtaining orders, recommending products, resolving customer concerns, developing solutions, and preparing reports.
  • Keep management informed with activity and results reports, including daily call reports, work plans, and territory analyses.
  • Monitor competition by gathering marketplace information on pricing, products, and merchandising techniques.
  • Recommend changes in products, services, and policies based on results and competitive developments.
  • Maintain records on area demographics and customer sales.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
Job Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in sales, preferably within the food and beverage industry.
  • Ability to work remotely.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Aptitude for prospecting, developing client relationships, negotiation, and persuasion.
  • Highly motivated, determined, and target-driven.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but relevant experience may be considered.
