Job summary

RONA is seeking a customer service-oriented associate to assist customers in-store or by phone, manage special orders, and keep the store well organized with current product information.

You will develop product knowledge, participate in training, and contribute to a welcoming shopping experience while supporting store operations and promotions.

Qualifications

• Effective selling skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to assess customer requirements and make recommendations.
• Some experience in a customer-focused role is required.
• The ability to perform duties involving stretching, bending, lifting, and carrying medium to heavy products.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with information and product requirements in-store or over the telephone.
• Prepare special orders, obtain required information, and coordinate with the Special Order Purchaser for pricing and delivery dates.
• Maintain the store by ensuring stock levels and signs are up to date; monitor inventory and count counts.
• Stay informed on flyers and promotional events.
• Enhance product knowledge and apply it to sales techniques through available training.
• Perform other tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly.

Your role

• Assist customers with their information/product requirements in the store or over the telephone
• Prepare special orders, obtain the required information and specifications from customer, contact Special Order Purchaser to establish and confirm price and available delivery date
• Maintain entire store, including ensuring area is well stocked and merchandised with current product levels and information signage. Monitor inventory levels, perform inventory counts, and highlight inventory concerns
• Keep current on flyer and promotional events
• Actively strive to increase product knowledge, understand application and/or renovation techniques, and improve selling skills by participating in available training sessions
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly
