Job summary

La Vie en Rose in Kelowna, BC is hiring for a permanent part-time role. You will assist customers with a friendly, expert approach to lingerie, sleepwear and swimwear, while driving sales and maintaining store standards.

You’ll work flexible hours, including holidays, with opportunities for advancement in a family-owned, community-focused company that values customer experience and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Previous sales experience in fashion/apparel.
• Ability to listen to customers and provide exceptional customer service.
• Interest in lingerie, sleepwear, swimwear and fashion products.
• Proactive, reliable, and conscientious attitude.
• Willingness to work holidays and longer hours during busy periods.
• Looking for a career with new challenges and learning opportunities.
• Bilingual skills are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers to maximize sales.
• Explain products, features, materials and benefits; make recommendations.
• Offer assistance in fitting rooms and on the shop floor.
• Achieve personal sales targets with coaching from training.
• Stock shelves and prepare products to enhance the shopping experience.
• Process transactions at the register with accuracy.
• Follow policies from head office and store management.
• Perform other duties to support the team.

What a typical workday looks like

Under the supervision of the store management team, you will be responsible for assisting and advising customers while working to maximize sales. Here's how:

• Give a warm welcome to every customer who comes into the store;
• Help them find everything they're looking for—answer their questions, explain the products (quality, materials, technical features) and suggest other products they might like;
• Make yourself available when customers are in the fitting room;
• Meet and exceed your personal sales goals (our training will help you get there!);
• Prepare, identify and place products on the sales floor to provide a memorable shopping experience;
• Ensure everything is clean and tidy in the store and backstore;
• Be on the lookout for new products so you can share your top picks with your customers;
• Accompany customers to the cash register and process their transactions;
• Respect and apply the policies and procedures of the various head office departments (don't worry, we'll explain everything to you!);
• Perform other duties where needed to support the team.
