Job description

Join the loudest store in the mall! We're looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Sales Associate, you'll be a key part of our success by providing excellent customer service, sharing your fandom knowledge, stocking and replenishing products, and merchandising the store in a visually appealing way—all while focusing on the in-store experience.

What You'll Do

1. Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customers to return, demonstrating product knowledge and customer service skills.
2. Maintain visual standards by covering the sales floor zone and ensuring assigned areas are well-presented.
3. Operate the register to process sales transactions, promote add-on sales, and utilize benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup.
4. Assist with planogram updates, including store mapping, wall displays, fixtures, and merchandising.
5. Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ partners.
6. Work with Store Management to prevent theft and misuse of spells and wizardry, maintaining store security.
7. Help keep the stock room organized and the store tidy to support daily operations.
8. Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve store goals.
9. Perform any additional activities assigned by your Store Leader.

What You'll Need

• Previous retail experience is preferred. A love for music and pop culture is a plus!
• Strong customer service and sales skills—think of yourself as having superpowers in these areas.
• You must be at least 16 years old to join the team.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, like an Avenger.
• Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using store equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
