Job description

COBS Bread Shawnessy is growing, and we're looking for a Mature FULL TIME Sales Assistant to join our team. We provide a fun work environment, comprehensive training, and excellent opportunities for career advancement. We are seeking the right person who wants to grow with us and potentially advance into a management role as an Assistant Sales Manager. Some experience in the food service industry is preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are most important, as we can provide training.

As a Sales Assistant at COBS Bread, you will:

1. Work as part of a small team, providing exceptional customer service, and building relationships with regular customers.
2. Be responsible for merchandising products and executing marketing campaigns.
3. Participate in baking, cleaning, and closing the bakery, including some afternoon shifts.
4. Be available for all shifts, including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
5. Assist with bakery cleanliness and production as needed.

Requirements

What we are looking for in a successful candidate:

1. Open availability, including evenings and weekends.
2. Strong customer service skills and ability to multitask.
3. Experience handling cash, credit, and debit transactions is preferred.
4. Relevant retail experience is a plus.
5. Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, reliability, and self-motivation.
6. A team player who enjoys working with people and providing a personable customer experience.

Physical Requirements

1. Standing and walking continuously during shifts.
2. Frequent use of hands and forceful gripping.
3. Operating the POS system regularly.
4. Lifting up to 7.5 kg regularly; occasional lifting up to 22 kg, with pushing, pulling, bending, and reaching involved.
