Sales Centres Hours Of Operation

Wednesday & Thursday - 12:00PM to 7:00PM

Saturday, Sunday and all statutory holidays - 12:00PM to 5:00PM

Position Description

The Sales Assistant is responsible for representing Tamarack Homes and demonstrating what we offer as a new home builder. As a key member of the customer experience, the Sales Assistant greets all customers and provides information on Tamarack homes and developments. The duties must ensure a quality approach to all employees, customers, prospective homeowners, managers, and suppliers. The Sales Assistant, in coordination with the Sales Representatives, is responsible for carrying out policies and procedures that support the strategy and goals of Tamarack Developments.

Major Responsibilities

  1. Greet and welcome clients, acting as the first point of contact in the Sales Centre.
  2. Ensure homes are in good condition (clear and tidy) prior to opening and before closing.
  3. Perform daily opening and closing of model homes.
  4. Compile marketing and promotional material with the direction of the Sales Representatives.
  5. Verify weekly closings and arrange gift baskets for new homebuyers.
  6. Ensure the most current price sheets are displayed and distribute handout material.
  7. Check the website weekly for accuracy.
  8. Answer all incoming calls and emails professionally and promptly.
  9. Assist agents with completing and signing co-broker registration forms.
  10. Provide preliminary information to clients regarding homes, options, development sites, special programs, ongoing offers, product features, prices, and deposit structures.
  11. Perform administrative duties including data entry, sales contract preparation, setting up purchaser files, and preparing sales reports.
  12. Update traffic circulation reports weekly.
  13. Identify targeted leads for sales follow-up.
  14. Perform other duties as requested by Sales Representatives.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education in business, interior design, or related field considered an asset.
  • One to two years of experience in administration, sales, or new home building process is an asset.
  • Ability to work well in a team and take initiative.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset.

Work Environment

  • Busy, sometimes loud environment.
  • Must be in good physical condition to perform duties around model homes.
  • Sitting and standing for long periods.
