Job description

Our client, a leading North American brand known for providing quality products for a variety of diverse residential and commercial applications, is looking to hire a Service and Sales Representative to join their team in Saskatoon. As a Service and Sales Representative your main responsibility will be to achieve and/or exceed area sales and customer point of sale targets through the promotion, service, and sale of company products in an established territory.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional service including: product knowledge, merchandising, inventory management, marketing and promotional programs for each customer base
• Grow the business by increased listings and gain shelf/off shelf space for new and existing products
• Develop and build on relationships with key decision makers and sales staff
• Liaise with internal departments (i.e. customer orders, credits, technical assistance, marketing information and warehouse materials)
• Participate in special projects including but not limited to: new store set ups, overnight resets, tradeshows and weekend events as required
• Assist in the development and model prototype creation of merchandising.
• Standard and ad-hoc reporting (as required)
• Additional store accounts may be required/assigned
• Manage an expense plan budget and maintain company property in new and 100% operating condition

Requirements:

• Post secondary education in business, sales or marketing is preferred or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license issued by the province in which you are working
• 2-5 years of in-store merchandising service or outside sales experience
• A proven track record of superior customer service and sales accomplishment
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating high levels of honesty and integrity
• Ability to develop and follow a sales plan for area
• Retail store experience or course work in merchandising/retailing is an asset
• Overnight travel (including air) and willingness to work non-standard hours as required
