Sales and Service Assistant - Merchandising Focus

As New Zealand's leading department store, we recognize the importance of providing exceptional service to our loyal customers.

Our Newmarket store is looking for a highly experienced Sales and Service Assistant, with at least 3 years of personalized retail selling experience, to join our team.

In this role, you'll be an expert on merchandising and providing exceptional service by :

  • Merchandising our diverse product ranges to ensure they are beautifully presented for our customers.
  • Setting up promotions correctly and on time to ensure our offers are clear.
  • Implementing and maintaining new season plans so our merchandise attracts customers and flows seamlessly for shopping.

As a service and selling expert with retail experience, you'll provide a high level of personalized customer assistance by :

  • Consulting with customers to help them find product solutions that meet their unique needs.
  • Working across multiple departments to provide product advice to customers.
  • Leading by example and coaching team members new to retail, supporting their development.
  • This role is full-time and involves working Tuesday to Saturday. Flexibility is required for extended trading hours and during Christmas.

    Our stores can be busy, so we need someone energetic, positive, and with a can-do attitude.

    Requirements for this role include :

  • 3-4 years of retail experience in personalized service and selling roles.

  • Experience setting up promotions and implementing new season adjacency plans.
