Position:

We are hiring a Sales and Reservations Agent, reporting to the Shared Services and Reservations Supervisor. If you love bringing your upbeat and professional personality to every interaction and take pride in crafting dream vacations by booking luxury accommodations and memorable experiences, this role could be a perfect fit for you.

This role is 40 hours per week and will require weekend work based out of our Head Office in Courtenay, BC. There may also be some travel required.

To reach our resorts, take a journey west along one of Canada’s most scenic highways, winding through the breathtaking mountain landscapes of Strathcona Park. Continue past the village of Gold River toward Tahsis. Just two hours by road from Campbell River you’ll find Moutcha Bay Resort, nestled on Vancouver Island’s remote shores of Nootka Sound.

Nootka Sound Resort is located at Galiano Bay, surrounded by rugged Canadian coastal mountains and thick old-growth forest. This all-inclusive floating resort is accessible by boat or floatplane and popular with corporate groups.

Newton Cove Resort is an upscale floating retreat, a true hidden gem in the wilderness and a world-class floating retreat. Tucked away in a secluded bay within Espinosa Inlet, near the Pacific gateway to Esperanza Inlet, it offers adventurous anglers convenient access to some of British Columbia’s premier salmon and halibut fishing.

Requirements of Sales and Reservations Agent:

  • 2 years in customer service and/or sales experience.
  • A natural people person with strong communication and exceptional customer service skills.
  • Exemplary phone manner and etiquette.
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve effectively.
  • Solid understanding of sales principles and sales management with a proven ability to provide results.
  • Basic numeracy skills with some experience taking and processing payments.
  • Tech-savvy and ability to learn and use multiple software including the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience using booking software (Maestro preferred).
  • Experience using a CRM.
  • Experience or interest with salt-water fishing an asset

Duties for Sales and Reservations Agent:

  • Professionally answering the reservations telephone line and responding to customer emails.
  • Provide accurate and helpful information about our products, services, and resort experiences.
  • Manage the sales pipeline from first contact to close by keeping things moving, staying on top of follow-ups, and helping deals stay on track.
  • Maintain detailed records of payments, quotes, leads, calls, emails, and other sales activities.
  • Collect and update guest information accurately while maintaining organized guest records in Monday.
  • Create and manage reservations in accordance with established procedures, using Maestro.
  • Follow up with guests, post-inquiry or post-booking, to ensure satisfaction and facilitate ongoing bookings.
  • Communicate guest details clearly with relevant properties and departments to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Complete day-end balancing and settlement reports.
