Workshop Labourer

Location: Greater Sudbury (Lively), Ontario

What you will be doing

Perform general housekeeping and cleaning duties to ensure the workshop remains clean, organized, and hazard-free.

Safely operate forklifts to move materials and equipment.

Retrieve parts from the warehouse and manage workshop inventory as needed.

Coordinate pickups and deliveries from suppliers and customers.

Assist with loading and unloading shipments, ensuring proper handling.

Support electricians with various workshop tasks.

Other duties as assigned.

Environmental Health and Safety

Comply with safety policies and applicable government, customer or industry regulations or requirements.

Responsible for identifying and reporting any unsafe work habits, workplace incidents and / or near misses. Perform risk assessments (“Take Five”) prior to each task.

Maintain orderly work area and ensure housekeeping requirements are met.

Attend Environmental, Health and Safety related trainings.

Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) assigned for each task.

What you will bring along

Completion of Secondary School (High school).

Strong initiative and eagerness to contribute actively to team goals.

Ability to work as part of an integrated, broad team.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Previous experience in a workshop or industrial setting is an asset.

Forklift certification and experience with shipping/receiving is considered an asset.

Valid driver’s license required.
