About the Role

Butter Confections & Tea is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated Sales & Marketing Manager to oversee our wholesale program and lead customer-facing marketing efforts. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who enjoys both relationship-building and creative storytelling. You’ll manage wholesale accounts, support our production team, and craft seasonal content that brings our brand to life.

Key Responsibilities

Wholesale & Sales

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all wholesale customers
• Manage incoming wholesale inquiries and coordinate new account setup
• Process and monitor wholesale orders through Shopify, email, and Faire
• Communicate lead times, shipping timelines, and payment terms with customers
• Work with the production and packaging team to ensure order accuracy and fulfillment
• Maintain and update wholesale customer database and pricing sheets
• Support seasonal product launches by providing timely updates and promotions to clients
• Track payments and send reminders as needed
• Support logistics including courier quotes and order troubleshooting

Marketing & Communications

• Plan, write, and schedule email newsletters (Mailchimp)
• Create product descriptions, seasonal campaign copy, and marketing blurbs
• Manage Shopify website updates (photos, copy, featured products)
• Collaborate on new product launches and seasonal updates
• Create and schedule content for social media
• Ensure brand consistency across all communication channels
• Monitor the performance of marketing efforts and suggest improvements
• Assist with marketing materials for events, retailers, and new stockist outreach
• Assist with occasional artisan market applications and events

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or small business operations
• Strong writing and communication skills in English
• Experience with Shopify, Mailchimp, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (preferred)
• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple timelines
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
• A warm, friendly approach to customer service
