Join to apply for the Sales and Marketing Coordinator role at Charton Hobbs.

Charton Hobbs, Canada’s largest privately held wine & spirits importer, is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Sales & Marketing Coordinator based in Calgary, Alberta, reporting to the Sales Manager in Alberta. The ideal candidate will be creative, customer/sales-oriented, analytical, organized, and attentive to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the Sales Team:

  • Summarize past weeks' sales performance
  • Provide current inventory updates
  • Prepare weekly brand focus summaries
  • Print sales materials for sales reps
  • Update portfolio price lists
  • Manage product allocations in Liquor Connect website
  • Create event/sponsorship gift baskets
  • Set up and work at trade/consumer events
  • Coordinate POS materials and organize warehouse
  • Manage retail chain LTO grids and listing applications for AB/SK/MB
  • Order and coordinate purchase of product samples
  • Handle AGLC/SLGA/MBLL registrations
Marketing & Design Support for AB/SK/MB:
  • Create LTO sell sheets
  • Update Objective Sell Sheets & other POS materials such as backer cards, neck tags, price cards for print
  • Send out bi-weekly LTO sell sheets and broadcast emails
  • Coordinate special events, supplier visits, and itineraries
  • Update marketing grid
  • Create social media posts
Ideal Candidate:
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and graphic design software including Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator & InDesign
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Completed basic wine education/appreciation courses
  • Self-starter eager to advance their career with a keen eye for innovation
  • Strong communicator capable of managing multiple tasks
  • Able to work within tight deadlines and maintain high standards of performance
  • Valid ProServe certificate
