Job summary

California Closets is seeking a Design Consultant to deliver personalized, whole-home storage designs and exceptional service. You will visit clients’ homes, design with our CAD tools, and pursue referrals to meet sales targets.

This full-time role includes a paid training period and collaboration with installation teams. Training lasts 12 weeks with hourly pay; post-training, compensation becomes commission-based with uncapped earning potential and no base salary.

The Design Consultant role is critical to the California Closets Design Brand experience and the relationship earned with each and every customer. By listening to a customer’s needs and collaborating on every detail, this role is responsible for delivering highly personalized, whole-home design solutions and exceptional service. Supported by enhanced training, this role requires passion for design, integrity, and commitment to excellence for measuring, designing, selling, and delivering custom solutions that add lifetime value and impact. This is a full-time (40+ hours per week) position.

Training

This opportunity comes with a 12-week training period during which the employee will be paid hourlyThe training will require regular office hours Monday - Friday 9h to 16hOnce training is completed, this position transitions to a commission-based compensation structure with uncapped earning potential, with no base salary

Duties and Responsibilities

• Commute to customers’ homes and design custom storage solutions utilizing our proprietary CAD software program
• Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets by pursuing referrals and repeat business
• Continuous follow-up with customers and collaboration with the installation team to ensure job completion
• Participate in meetings and training sessions
• Participate in business development events
• Build professional relationships with interior designers and other industry professionals
• Manage a portfolio of projects and clients of different complexity in a dynamic environnement
