Job Overview

Reporting to the Vice-President, as the Sales Account Manager you are responsible to plan and generate targeted sales within their customer portfolio, and ensure customers are provided with excellent customer service to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Your Day-to-day Responsibilities Will Include

  • Planning and executing an annual sales plan, including targeting specific customers.
  • Preparing change orders for upgrades or other changes to the original order.
  • Reviewing with the Management Team contracts and agreements and setting the terms and pricing.
  • Resolving customer inquiries or concerns in an efficient manner and presenting and recommending product options to clients based on customer preferences, needs and budgets.
  • Achieving product mix, pricing and margins for assigned sales area according to agreed targets.
  • Conducting site visits to comprehend building practices and product preferences, and preparing estimates accordingly.
  • Assisting in setting up new accounts and keeping payments up to date.
  • Staying current on product knowledge and competitors in the market.

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience within the flooring industry.
  • Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
  • Valid Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle required.
  • Comfortable using office equipment and Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Business Administration, Interior Design, or equivalent is considered an asset.
  • Experience in residential interior design, working with supply chain and / or residential construction is an asset.
  • Experience with operating systems (ERP) such as Retail Flooring Management System (RFMS) is an asset.

Work Conditions

You primarily work in an office setting during regular business hours. with travel to construction sites required on a frequent basis. Overtime may occasionally be required.
