Job description

Work Location: Remote - MUST Reside in Canada, Preferably Greater Toronto Area

Aftermarket supplies a broad portfolio of products and services in original equipment quality to the trade and automotive workshops worldwide. These include standard spares such as engine parts, filters, turbochargers, mechatronics components, and increasingly, products for thermal management, vehicle diagnostics, exhaust gas analyzers, and service equipment for HVAC systems and automatic transmissions.

Your Contribution

The Sales Account Manager - Canadian Region will utilize professional selling techniques and product knowledge to market MAHLE products to Key Warehouse Distributors and other customer sales channels, including EPS, Performance, and direct customers within the assigned territory. The role involves managing customer relationships, developing new business, and establishing long-term partnerships.

  1. Utilizes knowledge of all customer sales channels, emphasizing Traditional Warehouse Distributors and competitive requirements to maximize sales volume while ensuring profitability.
  2. Leads business planning and strategy for MAHLE Aftermarket to foster sales growth and identify new product opportunities.
  3. Incorporates effective time management to maximize sales and minimize travel costs.
  4. Conducts market research on products and competitors, staying updated on market developments.
  5. Recommends and evaluates sales promotions, suggesting improvements as needed.
  6. Collaborates with Marketing, Product Management, and Supply Chain to meet customer needs profitably.
  7. Provides product training for current and prospective accounts.
  8. Assists in developing marketing tools and customized sales programs.

Your Experience & Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  2. 5+ years of experience in automotive aftermarket sales.
  3. Knowledge of gaskets, engine parts, filters, and turbocharger applications.
  4. Understanding of aftermarket distribution channels (Warehouse Distributors, Engine Parts Specialists).
  5. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to identify and create win-win scenarios.
  6. Up to 50% travel required.
