Adecco is currently hiring for a full-time Safety Watch / Technician , to work at a well-established integrated oil and natural gas company, in Christina Lake, AB. In this role, you will be supporting operational staff by assisting them with day-to-day safety requirement(s) for their activities. You will also participate in Health & Safety programs throughout field operations in a supportive, solutions-focused setting to ensure excellence.

- Shifts : 8 days on, 6 days off | 12 hours / day | Fly in fly out to Calgary and Edmonton

Duties and Responsibilities :
- Act as Confined Space monitor, Safety Watch, or Fire Watch in support of operations and maintenance work activities
- Participate in health and safety risk assessment activities including safety meetings, field level hazard assessments, hazard identifications and behavioral observations
- Work with and provide support to site Safety Equipment Technicians
- Work with and provide support to site Occupational Hygienist / Industrial Hygienist
- Understand and initiate emergency response plan when necessary
- Set-up, operate, and monitor breathing air equipment
- Support tasks including but not limited to the cleaning and servicing of breathing air equipment, breathing air trailer housekeeping, refilling of breathing air cylinders
- Operate and maintain gas detection equipment, daily / monthly bump and calibration of portable / temporary gas detection systems
- Maintain H&S equipment inventory, deploying and distributing appropriately and communicate any damage or losses
Requirements and Qualifications :
- A Minimum of two years of relevant Safety Watch / Technician experience is a must
- Experience within the oil & gas industry in a field worksite environment is a plus
- Valid H2S Alive, Standard First Aid +CPR, Confined Space Monitor, Gas Detection, and Fall Protection certificates are required
- Microsoft Office Suite knowledge is an asset
- Demonstrated competency within the role of Safety Watch / Technician utilizing breathing air equipment
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s license is required
- Should have strong communication skills
- Able to clear Drug & Alcohol test and background check
- Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
