Job description

Alutiiq Operations Services, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Safety Technician supporting Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, OK. The Safety Technician is responsible for ensuring all work activities are completed safely, meeting safety standards for all employees. Unsafe situations are identified and corrected immediately.

The role includes:

  1. Assisting the Safety/Environmental Manager and project managers with on-site safety and environmental compliance.
  2. Performing safety audits, filing reports, and maintaining organized records.
  3. Investigating accidents, completing reports, supporting injured employees, and ensuring corrective actions.
  4. Developing Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and supporting training record maintenance.
  5. Conducting risk assessments, safety surveys, and environmental compliance inspections.
  6. Maintaining employee health records and supporting environmental permits and compliance activities.
  7. Inspecting subcontractors, coordinating with management to ensure safety and quality, and reporting findings.
  8. Supporting environmental and safety management plan updates and compliance assessments.
  9. Performing other safety-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and insurance.
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word).
  • At least two years of safety/environmental program management experience.
  • Knowledge of government contracting, safety regulations, and accident investigation.
  • Experience with hazardous waste management and environmental compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to lead in emergency situations.
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general construction.

Salary Range: $53,000 - $63,000 annually.
