I. Job Summary

Responsible for the development and execution of all safety strategic goals and offers safety-related budgetary guidance in accordance with WM Safety Services guidance.

Responsibilities include :

  • Supporting safety strategy, goals, and objectives at both corporate and market area levels.
  • Managing Drive Cam System operations, including analysis, reporting, and coaching.
  • Leading Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF) Prevention programs by identifying high-risk tasks and conducting validation studies.
  • Ensuring effective safety communications and risk assessments.
  • Managing incident investigations, reporting, and root cause analysis.
  • Overseeing safety plans, hazardous energy control, and compliance with regulations.
  • Managing safety recognition programs, employee health, PPE procurement, and safety training.
  • Developing safety talent and coaching safety observations and trends.

II. Qualifications

Education : Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma with 4 years relevant experience.

Experience : 5-7 years in safety or operations management.

Preferred Certifications : CSP, CIH, PE, QEP, REM, CHMM.

Skills : Knowledge of safety regulations (MTO, OHSA), leadership, communication, and change management skills.
