Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and security policies and consistent standards are implemented across the network
• Ensure safety, security, and environmental compliance are being adhered to
• Develop and implement the station Emergency Response Plan
• Implement Menzies Aviation Policies and Procedures as laid down in the Eight Pillars of Management
• Provide timely regional management reports weekly and monthly as required
• Plan and coordinate the implementation of safety and security priorities within the region to achieve consistent standards
• Drive corporate safety and security programmes
• Provide guidance and support to operational management on safety and security matters
• Identify hazards, develop policy and procedures through risk assessment and control
• Promote a “safety first” culture
• Support field operations to implement safe and secure working procedures and lead proactive audits and daily inspections
• Establish and support Health and Safety Committee
• Liaise with regulatory aviation authorities within the region to ensure compliance
• Monitor changes in legislation and update operational training requirements accordingly
• Accident, incident reporting and investigation
• Distribute network safety and security alerts to increase awareness
• Report significant deficiencies in products, materials and documents
• Sug gest improvements to working practices related to safety and security
• Conduct audits as described in the Quality Assurance Manual
• Ensure all External Operational Manuals remain current
