Safety Sales Representative -Edmonton and N Alberta

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Personal Safety Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by :

  • Driving positive sales growth for the Personal Safety business in a SECOND assigned territory in Edmonton and Northern Alberta
  • Serving as a knowledge broker through delivering training and education to ensure customers and end users maximize product effectiveness
  • Collaborate with Territory, Marketing and Technical teams to assist with market research, new product launches, and promotional initiatives.
  • Willingness to bring solutions to challenging issues within a dynamic environment
  • Prioritizing your end customers, markets, and distributors to drive effective territory management

Company Vehicle

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications :

  • High School diploma / GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Three (3) years of safety / industrial experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Current, valid Driver’s License

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include :

  • Post-Secondary Education or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Exceptional organization skills with effective written and verbal communication skills with an aptitude to connect with customers at all levels in an organization
  • Ability to qualify and prioritize sales opportunities within their assigned territory
  • Channel or manufacturer sales experience preferable
  • Strong negotiation and relationship building skills
  • Experience working in a matrix environment or large complex organization

Work location :

  • Remote based location within the assigned territory

Travel : May include up to 70% domestic within the territory

Relocation Assistance : May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
