Job summary

The State Group offers a structured safety internship on-site in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. You will engage in research, planning, documentation, and reporting while gaining exposure to multiple areas of our electrical, mechanical, and civil contracting operations.

Join a team that prioritizes mentorship, professional growth, and collaboration, with a pathway to full-time roles after graduation. Must be pursuing a safety-related diploma or degree and be highly organized and communicative.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a college diploma or university degree in safety.
• Completed at least one year of post-secondary education.
• Strong desire to learn, contribute and grow in a professional environment.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across the organization while gaining insight into how our business operates.
• Assist with research, analysis, planning, documentation, reporting, and other responsibilities related to your area of study.
• Attend team meetings and contribute ideas, updates, and solutions.
• Build practical skills through hands-on experience, mentorship, and professional development.
• Network with other interns and participate in a collaborative Capstone Project.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
