Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and coordinating FirstHealth of the Carolinas Safety and Emergency Management program.
Bachelor's Degree in Safety/Emergency Management or related field. Master's Degree preferred. Must have working knowledge of Life Safety Codes, NFPA Codes, OSHA Standards, and DNV Standards. The preferred candidate will have FEMA course certifications: IS 100, IS 200, IS 700, ICS 300, ICS 400, as well as Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program training, Human Subject Protections Certification, and OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations training. Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) preferred. At least 4 years of experience in safety and emergency management in a healthcare environment required, with at least 1 year of leadership experience preferred.
