  • Maintain a visible field presence by engaging with workers and supervisors to reinforce safe work practices, identify hazards, and address safety concerns in real time.
  • Facilitate and participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and site communications to promote hazard awareness and continuous improvement.
  • Review and verify the completion and quality of Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs), Safe Work Procedures (SWPs), Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and other required safety documentation.
  • Support incident, injury, and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and follow-up activities.
  • Assist with Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) claims management and other processes related to workplace injuries and return-to-work initiatives.
  • Partner with the HSE team and Regional Manager to support incident prevention, regulatory compliance, training initiatives, and the resolution of HSE concerns.
  • Coordinate, track, and maintain mandatory safety training in accordance with regional training requirements and client expectations.
  • Support the onboarding and site orientation of employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Maintain accurate and organized HSE documentation, including inspection reports, training records, incident documentation, audit findings, and regulatory records.
  • Partner with Construction Management, Superintendents, and Forepersons to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
  • Build positive working relationships with field teams by providing coaching, guidance, and practical safety support.
  • Participate in HSE program reviews, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen safety performance across the region.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, engagement, and shared ownership for workplace health and safety.
