The Opportunity
Leavitt Industrial Group is looking for a Safety Coordinator to join our team in Coquitlam, British Columbia . As the Safety Coordinator, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive safety culture across all branches, including building effective business relationships, ensuring compliance, and supporting safety initiatives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As the Safety Coordinator your key responsibilities will include :
Acting as first point of contact for all safety incidents
Conducting or assisting with annual safety audits
Assisting in the review of policies and procedures
Supporting joint Health and Safety Committee members and Safety Captains, ensuring compliance across branch locations
Ensuring monthly activities, inspections, training, and other safety requirements are met
Participating in safety integrations for new business acquisitions
Completing pre-qualification packages
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies :
1 to 3 years of prior work experience in safety administration
Proficiency with MS Office Suite
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team

The base pay range for this role is : $60,000 to $65,000 per year depending on experience.
This is an onsite role based in Coquitlam, British Columbia .
