Job description

You are an experienced Health & Safety Advisor who consistently conveys professional judgment and can build effective relationships across all levels. You will play a key role in the execution and implementation of a diverse range of health and safety programs for pipeline projects. You can expect to work on challenging projects with diverse and collaborative teams to meet and exceed Ledcor’s safety standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide advice to operations regarding Ledcor's Health and Safety Management System, based on a solid understanding of program execution throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor compliance with jurisdictional regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the coordination and completion of safe work procedures, hazard assessments, safety inspections, focus audits, and incident investigations.
• Verify compliance with leading and lagging indicators, including subcontractors, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Conduct HS&E orientations for employees and subcontractors during project onboarding.
• Support the organization and delivery of toolbox talks and safety meetings.
• Develop and improve Job Hazard Analysis and Safe Work Practice documents based on existing materials.

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of experience in construction or related industry, with relevant health and safety expertise.
• Possession of CSO, NCSO, or CRSP certification, along with OFA Level 1 certification.
• Effective communication skills to interact with the workforce, project management, clients, and stakeholders.
• A proactive approach to safety, including operational and organizational issue identification and strategic development.
• Experience in risk assessment, program development, safety training, and incident investigation.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol testing.

Working Conditions:

• Ability to work extended hours as needed.

Compensation:

$68,000 to $93,500 annually, based on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive rewards package supporting your well-being and opportunities for professional growth.
