Join the WinSport team and help us create a culture of safety for our guests, athletes, and team members. As an Coordinator, Safety, you will support the development, implementation, and auditing of WinSport’s Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) programs and contribute directly to hazard mitigation across a variety of recreational and operational environments, including our ski hill, mountain bike park, arenas, and attractions.

What you will be doing
- Provide direct support and assistance to Sr. Manager in developing, implementing, and auditing the OHS program and policies, including all elements of the electronic Health and Safety Management System. Take direct responsibility for certain aspects of the safety
- Assisting in the management of the eCompliance system and departmental
- Assist in training activities and the creation and improvement of training
- Assist in seasonal training with ability to be able to run presentations and practical sessions
- Participate and lead incident
- Monitor mountain bike/ski area, arena, gym, attractions, and all areas for hazards to workers and users of the facilities.
- Assist in the updating, improving, and implementation of the emergency response systems across also Winsport facilities.
- Always demonstrate safe work practice by adhering to all WinSport safety policy and procedures and ensuring one’s own safety is preserved along with the safety of co-workers and WinSport guests
- Be mindful of all safety hazards/concerns within the work environment and ensure all safety issues are reported to the appropriate individuals
- Follow all OHS
- Other duties as required
What you Bring
- Post secondary education or certification in OHS field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time while meeting deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ski/ Snowboard & Mountain Bike experience is an asset
- Valid driver’s license class 5 required
- Friendly, customer service-oriented individual
- Strong organizational and administration skills
- Experience working in a public or recreational facility is an asset
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office with a strong understanding of PowerPoint, Excel and electronic safety systems.
- ICS Training is an asset
Physical Demands
- Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather
- Physical tasks are a significant part of this position, e., helping to correct safety concerns by putting up fencing
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is a key part of this position
- Driving a variety of WinSport vehicles, including ATV’s, snowmobiles, trucks,
