Bison Transport Inc is seeking a Safety & Compliance Administrator to monitor and maintain driver and independent contractor compliance records, ensuring DOT and federal standards are met. The role covers violation management, driver checks, annual reviews, and critical event reporting in a fast-paced transportation environment.

The ideal candidate has administrative experience, strong detail orientation, and proficiency in Word and Excel, with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain Driver and independent contractor compliance records to meet DOT and federal requirements.
• Review Vigillo Systems daily for new violation notifications and document in Driver Management System.
• Facilitate payment of fines and collect driver/contractor proof.
• Communicate mechanical and hazmat violations to stakeholders.
• Compile violation records for maintenance audits and coordinate repair document submissions.
• Manage the Inspection Rewards Program and monthly carrier profile checks.
• Document driver information for counselor follow up in Driver Management System.
• Handle inquiries from the public regarding driving concerns and assign for counselor follow up.
• Document third party carrier reports in Risk Management Program and Scan to Driver file.
• Annual Driver Review Completion: collect abstracts and violations, submit for review.
• Document all critical event violations in dimensions system for counselor follow up and trend analysis.
• Collaborate with third party providers to arrange equipment installs, maintenance, and video reporting.
• Provide assistance on driver questions relating to E-logs.
• Engage in other projects as assigned.

Job description

As the Safety & Compliance Administrator you will be responsible to monitor and maintain Driver and independent contractor compliance records to meet DOT and federal requirements. Specific Responsibilities include: Violation Management: Identify opportunity and challenge inaccurate violations. Work with ABL Division to recover third party carrier violation costs. Review Vigillo Systems daily for new violation notifications. Document both positive and negative inspection in Bison’s Driver Management System for counselor follow up. Facilitate payment of fines either paid by Bison direct of Driver/Contractor payment proof collection. Communication mechanical and hazmat violations to the respective stake holders. Compile violation records for maintenance audits. Coordinate the submission of repair completion documents on mechanical violations. Manage Inspection Rewards Program. Monthly request and audit of MB and AB carrier profiles, Scan to Driver file. Driver Check Program Management: Document in Bison’s Driver Management System for counselor follow up. Handle incoming calls and emails from the general public regarding driving concerns, document and assign for counselor follow up. Document third party carrier reports in ABL’s Risk Management Program. Scan to Driver file. Annual Driver Review Completion: Collect current abstract and Certificate of Violations for all Drivers and Independent contractors in all regions. Complete review form and provide to Manager, Safety for review and signing. Scan to Driver file. Critical Event Reporting: Document all critical event violations in dims for counselor follow up, Compile event data and trends. Work with third party technology providers to arrange equipment installs, maintenance, and video reporting. Other: Provide assistance on Driver questions relating to E-logs. Engage in other projects and activities as necessary to the position and as assigned. Our Ideal Candidate will possess: Previous administrative experience in a fast‑paced environment.
