Our client is seeking a SR R- Studio Administrator with Unix experience to support an application maintenance support project.

Duration : 6 months

Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Posit / R-Studio Administrator to join a Analytics Modernization Program. This role will focus on the administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of the Posit (formerly RStudio) platform, ensuring smooth operations for users and environments. The ideal candidate will provide expert guidance on best practices, offer proactive support, and assist with documentation for training purposes.

Key Responsibilities :

• Administer and configure Posit Workbench, Posit Connect, and Posit Package Manager to ensure optimal performance and user accessibility.
• Troubleshoot user issues related to the R-Studio environment, including package management, session management, and connectivity.
• Manage Unix command line scripting, filesystem configuration, and environment optimizations.
• Diagnose and resolve server errors, time-out issues, and connectivity problems.
• Provide ongoing support for R-Studio server components, including R-Connect, Workbench, and Package Manager.
• Implement best practices for load balancing, data connectivity, project sharing, and session management.
• Collaborate with the Analytics Modernization Program team to document processes and procedures, providing training material for users.
• Offer extended support for Python, SQL, and Shiny applications as needed.

Must-Have Requirements :

• Proven experience in administering and troubleshooting the Posit / R-Studio platform .
• Strong knowledge of Unix command line scripting and configuration management.
• Expertise in configuring and managing Posit Workbench , Posit Connect , and Posit Package Manager .
• Hands-on experience with :
• R-Studio server support and environment optimization.
• Diagnosing and resolving server and connectivity issues.
• Managing package dependencies, updates, and missing packages.
• Experience troubleshooting R-Studio with LDAP integration.

Nice-to-Have Skills :

• Knowledge of Python for R-Studio integrations.
• Experience with SQL for database connectivity.
• Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Shiny Apps.
• Familiarity with VSCode and Jupyter Notebooks for extended platform support.
• Familiarity with running server commands and monitoring server performance.
