We Invite Applications For The Position Of

Position
  • Senior Administrative Assistant - Learning Resource Centre (LRC), 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The current rate of pay is $31.13 per hour.
Qualifications

Grade 12 education supplemented by completion of an office administration program certificate including bookkeeping; typing speed of 50 wpm; proficient in Microsoft Office Programs; ability to accurately record minutes of meetings; minimum of four years of current clerical experience; experience in the use of relevant office equipment; meets the physical requirements of the position; ability to work independently and as a member of a team; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Duties/Responsibilities

Duties are performed under the supervision of the Director of Instruction K-12 or designate; works under minimum supervision, requiring the exercise of sound judgement as to the method of performing the work; provides administrative assistant support to Learning Resources Centre (LRC) Programs; prepares a variety of correspondence, reports and other necessary materials using appropriate word processing equipment; processes incoming and outgoing correspondence and other material; prepares and maintains general department files; compiles and processes staff documents including the processing and verification of staff attendance and replacement through the district Attendance Management System (AMS) and other necessary reporting forms as required; maintains required petty cash accounting records, Purchase Orders, invoices and work orders according to procedures established by the district for the LRC and fine arts program; performs telephone and reception duties, answering inquiries as applicable; follows proper work procedures, observes all regulations pertinent to the work, maintains a good working relationship with other employees, and cooperates in maintaining a healthy learning and working environment; performs other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor; student supervision as required by the Principal or Vice Principal.
