Job Description

Accountabilities:

  • Perform ultrasound procedures, including clinical assessment, in accordance with departmental standards to aid in patient’s diagnosis and/or treatment
  • Facilitate the provision of optimal patient care, observing and understanding organizational and departmental policies and procedures
  • Adhere to organization mission and value statements while maintaining patient confidentiality
  • Provide radiologists and vascular surgeons with high quality imaging, accurate and complete preliminary technical impression, discussing ultrasound findings with physician when necessary
  • Perform other duties related to the job classification as required

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited program in ultrasound technology
  • ARDMS (CRGS) certification and RVT (CRVS) required
  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario required
  • Sonography Canada membership preferred
  • Proficiency in all of the following:
    • Peripheral arterial doppler arms/legs (ABI/TBI), PVR/segmental pressures, post bypass/intervention follow-up
    • Dialysis access evaluation
    • Peripheral venous, including duplex arms/legs, venous mapping, venous insufficiency
    • Extra cranial carotid duplex
    • AAA screening, EVAR follow-up
  • Proven skill in the production of high-quality ultrasound images
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Physical ability to perform the expected job duties
  • Demonstrated ability to organize work, set objectives and establish priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to foster an environment to facilitate effective teaching and learning relationships and provide effective consultation with the clinical educators
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and Collaboration
  • Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record
  • May be required to travel between and work at all Osler sites

Additional Information

Hours: Currently Days, 8 hour shifts including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)

SALARY:
Minimum: $36.84 per hour
Maximum: $51.76 per hour
