Job summary

Wolfville Animal Hospital in the Annapolis Valley is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) for a full-time role, with option for part-time. Join a well-established, privately owned clinic just outside Halifax, offering a supportive team and compassionate care for companion animals.

You will assist exams, treatments, anesthesia, lab work, and client education while maintaining medical records and inventory.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Nova Scotia.
• Experience is preferred but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn will be considered.
• Strong communication skills with clients and team members.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and stay organized.
• Compassionate, outgoing, team-oriented attitude.

We are seeking an RVT to add to our team at the Wolfville Animal Hospital. We are a well-established, privately owned and respected veterinary clinic located in the beautiful Annapolis Valley- 1 hour outside of Halifax. Our area is full of wonderful farm markets, wineries and a stones throw from many local festivals and live theaters.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with exams and diagnostic procedures

Administer medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed

Perform lab tests, including blood work and urinalysis

Monitor anesthesia and assist in surgical procedures

Provide client education and ensure clear communication regarding treatment plans Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

Help with inventory management and ordering of supplies

Foster a compassionate environment for both patients and clients
