Job summary

Shediac Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) for an 18-month maternity leave. You will join a family‑owned, small animal practice focused on compassionate care for pets and people.

New graduates are welcome, and a supportive, team‑oriented culture values growth and ongoing learning. Responsibilities include patient care across preventative, surgical, and emergency services, along with client education and coordination with veterinarians and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be English proficient; French is an asset.
• Experience with MS Word and Outlook (or similar) is expected.
• New graduates welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Contribute positively to a supportive and collaborative team.
• Deliver excellent patient care including preventative care, surgery and emergency support.
• Surgery intakes, drug calculations, inductions, intubation and anesthesia monitoring.
• Laboratory work, client education, and nutritional consults.
• Communicate openly with clients, co-workers, veterinarians, and management.
