Qualifications

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) Care Specialist to join our Customer Experience team in a part-time, remote capacity. This is a 3-month contract position, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.

This role is ideal for an RVT who thrives in a client-facing environment, has a strong understanding of veterinary medicine, and enjoys helping pet parents navigate virtual care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver empathetic, timely, and knowledgeable support to pet parents via chat, phone, and email.

  • Triage client inquiries by assessing urgency and guiding them to the appropriate next steps.

  • Support both clients and veterinarians before, during, and after virtual appointments.

  • Manage and process prescriptions, including faxing, approvals, and coordinating with partner pharmacies.

  • Maintain clear, concise internal notes to ensure continuity of care.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively.

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and share actionable feedback.

Requirements

  • Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in good standing in Canada.

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in small animal GP, ER, or telehealth preferred.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, digital work environment.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a remote team.

  • Availability to work evening and weekend shifts (5PM–1AM EST).
